3 days of working for the EYC and have found lots of trash. it's crazy how much trash there is. i can't believe people think it's okay to litter. the highway is the world too. i know people think that if they litter when they are on the freeway it doesn't matter but it really does. trash travels. it gets stuck in trees and bushes. i've seen many plastic bags under plants that have just grown over them.

Snow fell here in Olympia for a few days and interrupted our daily routines such as going to school and work. I attempted to make an igloo in our driveway but never completed it. We did make a snowman in the yard though. A tree fell on top of my car and cracked the window a bit. I can't help but feel that something like that would happen to me. I shouldn't have made that damn igloo in the driveway, I should have put my car there instead!

It became super hot in my room so I woke up. I normally wouldn't be awake at 7am the day after we played a show. Last night on Friday the 13th Meowtain played at The Swamp House with Megabog, Sunshine and Irony, and Legion of Sparrows. Things got crazy. The cops came and people parked on the streets were asked to move their cars. Joel and I were both one of those people and had to move our car before we started our set. It was a little annoying and I thought people were going to clear out of the house. They didn't though. During some of our songs I looked out at the people who were rabidly dancing and I saw faces I didn't recognize singing our songs. Do you know how that makes a person feel? Like a sunbeam.

My grandma is an angel. She has done so much for me. I wish I could do something to pay her back (other than be there for her/be a good grand daughter). She sent me a box full of Christmas presents and a stocking. Not only that, but another box full of bulk tea (right now I'm drinking licorice mint) and Christmas lights for my room. Nana, I love you.

Today I worked at 4am and then went home and woke up Dave. I drove him to the airport and then stopped by Taylor's place in Tacoma to say HEY but he was asleep and I didn't want to bother him. The sun was shining through out the afternoon which took me by surprise on this Washington Christmas Eve. Joel and I hung out, made pasta, played Mario Kart, drank tea, and attempted to dub the Meowtain tapes (couldn't figure out the machine). I then went to St. John's Episcopal Church to check out the Christmas service. When I got there the choir was singing and during certain songs like "Little Town of Bethlehem" we were encouraged to sing along. I wanted to sing, it was inside of me to belt out those glorious songs, but to my dismay my voice currently sounds like a frog. Instead I sat there staring at the old folks in white robes, the large cross hanging above, and the people in the crowd. Hey, I spotted the cashier at Bayview who I saw this morning.

I left when the singing stopped and the service began

it was a little too much for me, but I can appreciate holy water, incense, singing, and lit candles with the Virgin Mary on them

btw, am I supposed to capitalize Christmas? It's been so long since I took an English class that I forget what to capitalize.
